S*P*A*M, the ugly 4 letter word causing havoc for publishers and advertisers and innocent unknowing customers. Yes there are s*pa**m*mers. It is a problem BUT>>> Does a few bad apples in the barrel justify throwing out the whole barrel? Unfortunately ALL of your s*p*a*m fi*lt*er companies do just that. They sell people on the need for their product to get rid of unwanted mail, then throw out the WHOLE barrel. I have a new associate badly in need of training who hasn't been able to get his mail from me for over a week due to his "arresting" software he downloaded onto his computer. Poor guy can't even get my message with instructions on how to get around it. It has cost him over $60 in lost revenue this week alone. Who knows what other costly information he is missing. Yahoo, Aol, MSN, and Hotmail all have added additional fi*lt*ers this last week. Even though I have the fi*lt*er options de-selected in my account settings, I'm still not getting messages that I have REQUESTED. How often have you subscribed to an autoresponder or ezine; and have it not show up? You are not crazy. Your ISP is policing your mail. EXCUSE ME - but I'm all grown up and quite capable of making my own decisions on what I do or don't want to receive. I have a dele*te bu^tton and even a child can master the art of setting up fi*lt*ers in most ema*(il programs. Certainly as advertisers, with our emails all over the net in ads and articles - we are and will continue to be recipients of unwanted, uns^olic*ited mail. That is what web based email accounts are for. There are fr*9ee ones and huge ones with varying capabilities in varying price ranges. Its part of doing bizniz... Just as advertising is a necessary business expense - so are mailboxes. You wouldn't open a traditional brick-n-mortar business without getting a mail box and most likely a PO box as well, plus shipping accounts. Even at home, you get unwanted Junk Mail in your physical mailbox everyday. What are you going to do, blow up the mailbox, shoot the postman, fi*lt*er the post office? I don't think so. You grab your mail, toss the unwanted and read the rest, just like the rest of us. I'm much more sick of the S*P*^7A*M flitters (purposely mis-spelled) than the S&P870A&*M. I think we are all old enough and capable of making our own decisions regarding which mail we read or throw away. If we are going to toss the whole barrel of anything out- lets make it all the flitter companies that are just another type of ter(*rori*sm. They are causing more problems and costing you and I more mo*845qney than any and all the sS9rPe0598A4gM combined! And do I need to tell you how rediculous I feel sitting here coding this article in order to get it thru the blank flitters. Ever see the movie "Christmas Story" about the little blonde headed kid that wanted a BB gun for Christmas?
