way through
June already!
On a personal note... I
have news I'm bursting to share...
Most of you who have been with me for any length of time,
know that my son,
the Airforce Sargeant is based in Germany. He recently
re-enlisted for another
6 years... in California's northern WINE country. I plan to visit
alot.. :)
But the NEWS is that my beautiful wife, and my grand-daughter are in
town. And guess what.. She is pregnant with my 2nd grand
child, which
I'm hoping is a boy of course. !!!! Yes.. we sent him
pictures of the EPT
test. LOL Daddy will be joining us for a couple of
weeks in July.
So... yay!!!! Looks like I'll have baby announcements by
March or April
at the latest. :) The daughter-n-law is thrilled
that she will be out of maternity
clothes in time for my middle child's wedding... in May.
It is sure to be a busy year here. LOL Gotta luv it!
Meanwhile...
Much ado about COPY. With so many
promoting the same or
similar awesome programs; it is important for you to make sure your
headlines
stand out from the rest. You really have to put some thought
into them; and
not just run the same headlines, or subject lines that all of your
fellow affiliates
or members are running. So let's talk copy.

Are
You Talking to Me?

Who
are you talking to?
The most important part of your solo, classified, or email message is
your subject
line, or headline. Before you hit the submit button.. think
about WHO you are
talking to.
WHO is your target market?
WHO is your IDEAL customer or
partner?
WHO exactly do you hope to attract
to with your offer?
Is it a HE or a SHE. Could it be both?
Is he or she already successfully promoting
a business? Are they looking for one? Are they looking for
something / someone
to help build their existing business?
Are they frustrated or
apathetic?
Have they been burned, are they
skeptical?
Are they NEW and unsure?
Are they looking for resources?
Do they have money to spend?
Do they invest in themselves or
their business?
Did they just lose a job?
Are they looking for one?
Are they suffering from the economic
downturn?
Are they overcoming obstacles...
health or financial?
Are they looking for value?
Are they looking for traffic?
Are they looking for knowledge?
Are they looking for a way to save
money?
Are they looking for a way to make
money?
Are they looking for something to
enhance.. change or increase ...
Maybe they are simply looking for ways to offset
the costs of promoting their
existing business?
All of these are important to know..
The question is... How
does your offer MEET that need?
Your subject line has only a few seconds to GRAB the attention of your
unique
and specific target; and promise to deliver a solution "custom made" for
him or
her, within the body of your message.
Your product, service or business opp may well address each and every
concern
listed. But pick ONE, just one, and let your subject line
call out to that select
need and promise to fix it.
You can address different needs, in different campaigns.. but
you'll have much
better
results when you fine tune your message for specific targets. Your
prime candidate should know without a doubt that your message
is
specifically intended
for him or her; even if you don't know their name.
More importantly, if you know many others are promoting the same
program;
it is important that you be creative and come up with a different
headline than
everyone else is using. The body of your message can be the
same or similar...
as long as it continues to draw your target prospect in
to visit your website.
But your headline needs to be different and very, very targeted, or
your message
may never be entertained at all.
Take more time with your subject line than
anything else. It will pay off big
time, for you.

Pages? We say: "No way Jose"! when
they approach
our door with those archaic booster chairs. Has anyone used
one for anything other than
raising the seat of a toddler, or holding something down while the glue
dries, since the 90's?
I know we haven't. We haven't allowed one in the house or the
office for years.
