Meanwhile... they say that the death rate goes up during the month of

January. I don't recant that to be negative... but having worked for a

police department in my distant past... I believe it to be true.

 

On the positive side... this young Houston boy seems to have a healthy

take on life and death. So much so; the radio show that he called in to,

posted it on their site/ you tube.  If you are dealing with any type of crisis,

really... you could take this boy's advice.

Will you Adapt?

I've often said that Change is a good thing. I for one, like
change. I know .. most of us don't and can find it upsetting.

As 2008 picks up momentum; many of the companies
that you are associated with, and do business with will be
seeking ways to increase revenues.. and improve
efficiency ... through change.

Elections, changes in leadership, rules and regulations...
We will see change on all fronts, and many times it will
change the way we do business and even who we do
business with.

Will you Adapt?

Here are 10.5 ways to adapt to CHANGE and incorporate
it naturally into your life -- and your life's work.

1. Accept change as part of life - it's inevitable - don't fight it.
    Give change a chance. Look at it as an OPPORTUNITY.

2. Keep change in perspective - it isn't a terminal illness -
    It's something new and different. It might even be better.

3. Look for new opportunities to succeed - you'll never see how
    change can work in your favor if you're mad. A favorite quote:
   " It is impossible to create a positive action

                        from a negative thought."

4. Write down all the bad things that could possibly happen - and
     figure out a game plan to avert or deal with each one of them

5. Write down all the good things that can come of change - and
     expand on the opportunities they can bring you/ your company.

6. Discuss concerns with others WHO CAN HELP - avoid those
    who are grumbling or wallowing in self-pity. Where is the
     victory in that?

7. Don't "WOE IS ME" it - seek out others less fortunate than you to
     keep things in perspective. In fact seek ways to help others...
     and GROW in perspective.

8. Form a team to figure out positive outcomes - explore as much
    possible good from change as you (and others) are able.

9. Keep your attitude level and reinforcement at an all time high.
    Now is the time to listen and read as much positive mental attitude
    things as you can. Keep your car CD player full of positive words
    from the masters. ... better yet from your Master in heaven, the
    great equipper and change agent.

 

10. Define your goals.. at least three of which that will make the
      change work - Then go on an all out action plan to achieve those
      goals.

10.5 Remember that you can adapt. This change is an opportunity
        to prove it to yourself, and achieve even greater success.

So do not feign change.. Step up to the challenge and ADAPT.
Make this your best year ever!
